Company Overview

Eastern Rod and Customs history begins with Clayton Custom Cars (CCC) in 1996. CCC's craftsman did an incredible job getting customers' hot rods and custom cars into the winners circle, as well as the front of magazine covers over the following decade. Leading up to 2006, a combination of activities involving sales of turn-key cars, parts and roller packages made this a thriving business; delivering great show cars. From there, CCC entered into a myriad of mismanagement and sadly had to close its doors in November 2008.

After working closely with the previous owner of Clayton Custom Cars, Eastern Rod and Customs was born using the same great craftsman under a new owner and management structure. With Eastern Rod and Customs, you will find excellent customer service and quick turn around times on projects, along with integrity, quality and craftsmanship. There is even a new location near downtown Raleigh, NC, more conveniently located to the airport for out of town customers.

Our new owner has a passion for cars and this business. Utilizing his Mechanical Engineering degree from North Carolina State University, he adds a technical element unique to this industry. He also brings over 20 years of business experience, customer service and a solid character as a passionate, courageous and giving man.

We build anything the customer wants correctly. We do not cut corners and use the highest quality parts, so our customers have fewer problems. We are a complete fabrication shop with all the best equipment to build your dreams.

Noting a few items of special interest: paint jobs and cooling. Our graphics and flames have been award-winners all around the country. We always keep in mind that more is not always better. Plus, we helped develop a cooling system that can keep your engine running at idle, even with the strains of your high horsepower motor.
